Hi, I have been trying to connect my pc to the broadband router with an Ethernet cable. The LAN status says connected and in Activity it's showing data sent but nothing received. I have tried creating a new network wth the connection wizard but it doesn't make a difference. Any ideas please?
The PC is not new, it was used at my Dad's office & connected to servers. I have disconneted from these connections in My Computer. The O/S is XP professional.
Thank you

As the PC was used in an office, it was probably connected to a domain. Because of this, it may be unable to access the internet when it can no longer find the domain.
You probably therefore need to take it back to the office and have it removed from the domain, or reinstall Windows, so that it can operate in a Workgroup.
