Diagnostic checking a router?

Is there a way or download available to do a diagnostic check on a router?.

I am not looking for a way to check a profile by using admin rights, more of a way to check to see if the profile is correct or as been set-up correctly?.

Would it also be possible to adjust the profiles, if they have been set-up incorrectly?.
