my web browser is not connecting

hi there,
i changed the used the internet cable for my laptop on another laptop which i have been sending wireless connection,and by the time i returned the cable back to the original laptop,the client laptop wont open pages on any web browser.it shows there is connection but wont connect any web browser unless the cable is reconnected.can u pls help out
