trying to get a Belkin N150 W/L usb apt, to access the internet, but although strength is good and am connected, it actually is not accessing the internet
however, if i plug in my grandsons TP-Link TL-WN321G, it works great,
my router is a D-Link so is it just that the Belkin dongle wants a Belkin router or is it maybe because the 2 dongles are different speeds, one is a G, the other is a N

There shouldn't be a problem connecting a Belkin "n" adapter to the D-Link router, even if the router doesn't support 802.11n; there is backward compatibility with 802.11g.

What type of encryption are you using in the router? If WEP, try changing to WPA or, if supported, WPA2 and see if the Belkin adapter then connects with internet access.
