Brumas, don't you dare stop putting these on every week. At the moment a lot of people are probably on their summer holidays. Then again some others may have been put off by the speed with which certain contributors get the answer every week. In my case I look forward to a bit of banter and having a wild guess. I don't use any search methods on the Internet at all.

Lately I have been going to bed earlier in the evening because of the pain in my back and another problem which has arisen, namely a torn cartilage in my right knee. So I don't look in until the following morning, after my pain killers have kicked in.

The fountain no longer exists and hasn't done so for at least 50 years and perhaps as long ago as WW1. See Birmingham history forum
