EU announces proposed new rights for inconvenienced air passengers

At last, something positive coming out of Brussels concerning stranded passengers subjected to despair, misery, inconvenience and additional expense at various airports around Europe.

Subject to ratification by all EU member states this 'passenger rights charter' will affect only European carriers and should be in effect by 2014.

Good news indeed for the sometimes weary traveller, but only if they are fully implemented by all concerned, right? TC.
