Don't forget that some of these people return back to Hong Kong and China,so their vacation might be longer than expected, especially if they haven't visited family and friends for years.

Having said that, we had a local Chinese person who went home for an holiday, and didn't bother to return. His take-away got totally wrecked, and the council still thinks that he will return to carry on the lease and pay outstanding rents and rates, plus repairs?.

There was a Chinese Sit-In / Takeaway [plus flats up above], [in Margate] up for sale on BBC TV's "Homes Under The Hammer", this week.

Interestingly, just a few yards along from the Take-away was a giant Casino and a pub across the road.

Chinese businesmen are renowned for their heavy gambling; I just wonder if that was the reason for the auction sale of the Margate Take-away, and perhaps the "Closed for Chinese New Year - Open In 2 Months" sign.
