Is it possible to add a, say, 5 minute period where the poster could edit (correct spelling errors etc.) his OWN post only instead of making a second post pointing out the error?

Eye halve a spelling chequer
It came with my pea sea
It plainly marques four my revue
Miss steaks eye kin knot sea
Eye strike a key and type a word
And weight four it two say
Weather eye am wrong oar write
It shows me strait a weigh
As soon as a mist ache is maid
It nose bee four two long
And eye can put the error rite
Its rare lea ever wrong
Eye have run this poem threw it
am shore your pleased two no
Its letter perfect awl the weigh
My chequer tolled me sew.

Well it's the first time I have seen that poem and it made me chuckle.
An edit button might be useful, but I think a 'first unread post' button might be useful especially in the longer threads.

If you set your browser options so that you do not allow pages to use their own colours, and set "Visited Links" to, say, red, then the first unread page, though not post, will show in blue, or whatever your original colour was.
Not perfect but good on a muti-page thread!

And a direct link to the last page of a thread on the mobile site would be a huge advantage.
