and soon people will start heading off to spend Christmas with friends and relatives. That means it's time for me, on behalf of all of us at PCA, to wish all of you a very happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year.

We're approaching the end of our 12th year here, in the forum, and as ever I find myself wondering where all that time went. Without you all we wouldn't be here of course, and we want to thank you, yet again, for your continued help and support. Those of you who consistently offer help and advice in the various forum areas are amazing - you give freely of your time and expertise, and it's a pleasure working with you. Please keep it up - there are thousands of people out there who have reason to be grateful for what you do.

On a personal note I want to thank the small band of people who patrol the forum areas on a daily basis and notify me about spam posts. You have had a busy year, and I'm very grateful for those emails. There isn't time to acknowledge each one, and this is my chance to say a big thank you.

Our discussions in Speakers Corner don't seem to have set the world right yet, but let's keep trying. We have our ups and downs, but that's to be expected. You're a great bunch of people; please keep posting.

With our very best wishes and thanks,

FE and all at PCA

Sorry to hear your treatment was not totally successful, Laurie, but your posts and acerbic wit would be missed (certainly by me!). Best wishes for the future.

Seasons Greetings to all others, as well.

welcome home, I'm sorry to learn that things are not as you would have hoped.

"I have come to realise that my contributions are perhaps no longer up to the standard of the forum"

Absolute rubbish - you are one of our much-loved regular contributors, and a few threads locked is nothing; please keep posting, or I'll soon run out of people to argue with.

Best wishes, have a restful and enjoyable Christmas.

So many postings, not much I can add really apart from my personal good wishes to all members and sincere thanks to all that have helped me over many years.

Merry Christmas to one and all

especially those who are "on duty" for whatever reason over the holiday period while the rest of us are relaxing.

Here's a personal addendum.

A Month ago, I made a deal with my close relatives [2 Sisters and 2 Neices] to 'NOT TO GET ME ANY PRESENTS and/or GIVE ME ANY MONEY.

They all gave me 'loadsamoney' money in envelopes.

I was very angry that they had renaged on their promises.

Some people do not listen.

Aitchbee, that's how sisters (don't know about nieces, though) are. Just goes to prove that somebody lurves you..... . Just don't make the mistake of trying to return the cash! Not with sisters, anyway.

rdave13 - that is very good advice ... women have minds of their own, which are much too fathomable for me.
