I was going by C & A Modes building. But the one in the West Midlands din't open until later than the time this picture looks to have been taken. So withdraw my feeble attempt please.

I'll hazard a guess at Charing Cross or George Cross in Glasgow ... I vaguely remember my little brother going for a job interview at Schweppes, many tonic-waters ago ...
