Story.

Can anyone explain why this is so? I am pretty positive that most of us who had done jail time for expenses fraud would not be welcome back to place we had defrauded.

I think there is a minority in both Houses and in all parties that abuse expenses. In a private employer, particularly in multinationals expense fiddling would normally mean dismissal. Until the Houses of Parliament adopt a similar policy, I think we will all mistrust them. Here is another example;

Interesting that the 'Times' says Tory Taylor owes £151k, but the Mail (in the Labour Uddin piece) says it's £24k? Bit of a difference?

They have learnt the error of their ways and now know how to fiddle the system and get away with it.

As they say "one law for the plebs and one law for them", it's how they interpret the law, we say he stole money from the public purse and they say he just " misinterpreted the rules".
