It was a nice place to stay and a great view from the 'deck'. It's also on the Eastern coast so great for sunrises - they have built white painted hands to catch the first light....

That first picture that pavvi posted the link to really made me pause to think. I confess to spending more than a few seconds wondering if it had been photoshopped before accepting the truth of it.

Also, in one of those obscure mental connections it made me think of an old Alec Guinness movie about a hotel on a pier that was registered as a ship but didn't actually go anywhere.
