Talking of phone technologies.....
A lot of people will have heard of Hedy Lamarr - the very beautiful actress , said by many to be one of the most beautiful ever to appear on screen, who starred in several major Hollywood films between 1930s and 1950s. Hedy died 12 years ago, and of course she'll be remembered for being the first actress to appear on film in the nude.
What Hedy might not be so well remembered for is the fact that she helped to develop and patent the frequency hopping technology which is the basis for the spread spectrum system behind today's mobile phone communications networks.

Aitchbee
It'll be a couple of years before the Galaxy S3 will be on a plan of that price, it's currently £26 a month on O2 as long as you stump up £299.99 upfront

I had a cellular phone when they were in their infancy, but I'm afraid the technology has now passed me by and I'm not at state pension age yet.
I've never so much as sent a text message, let alone used a smart phone!
£10 credit on my PAYG lasts at least 12 months.. (I make a missed call to family members with inclusive minutes and get them to call me back).

FE
Wish I'd known that when I was a torpedo instructor.
I think I could have grabbed their attention immediately!

Hedy's face came to mind the minute you mentioned her FE. I missed her appearance in the nude though, but then I was only a bit of a lad I suppose, so wouldn't have been allowed in. I managed to smuggle myself in to see Jane Russell in "The Outlaw" though. After all the build up it was a bit of a let down. Trailers haven't changed much in their capacity to show the best bits and then, when you go to see the film you have already seen the best bits that matter.

...one of Hedy's personal quotes:-
"Any girl can be glamorous. All you have to do is stand still and look stupid."

So far I have managed to avoid the 'smartphone'. I just want a mobile, preferably now with big numbers and a big screen, that I can use to phone people. I don't text either, if I do need to text someone for some reason, I do it online. My mobile, like all others now, has a built-in camera, I do make use of that from time to time when out fishing, but that's my limit.

A Really Smartphone would advise you not to buy it. It would say you survived all these years without anything like me so unless you are a poser you don't need me.
