Is the site getting better ot worse

Just lately i find this site splutters and jumps all over the place,i'm on ie9,is it me my machine or the site.Even replying to a post is now getting to be more trouble than it's worth. Sorry to moan but things do seem to getting worse,i've noticed some of the quieries seem very old and are on the top of the pile in each section.

Possibly to server overloads and no staff available to correct the problem, which as been stated on a number of occasions.

The site is running fairly fast this morning on Google chrome, and I notice that some of the previous days problems appear to been resolved. But I have noticed this morning, with a least one post, the poster name as been on the index list, but the post hasn't appeared in the thread. The poster was one of the god boys on the forum, so I cannot see it being a deletion, but I could be wrong!.
