Quite a few posts seem, on my W7 IE9 PC to have " one or more times in the heading. Am I alone in seeing this?

No your not alone, I think its a problem with the site again, when people trying to type certain characters in the title.

It's part of the spam block software apparently, removing punctuation from headings. & codes are used in webservers to define characters that can't be displayed, you'll often see them in web browser address bars - " is the code for "

The Forum Editor should step in [figuaratively speakin'] and edit the heading to a more sensible title ... he's done it before.
