And FE its working okay hear with Java Enabled, so the team must have been doing something right

This site always runs slow for me at least. I blame the adverts. Reason being, my browser tells me at the bottom that its waiting for XXX.com (usually doubleclick, but they arent the only one. Powerlinks come a close second, imho, followed by googleads).

It's good to hear that - in the main - you haven't experienced a slow-down. Site traffic is very high right now, and as far as I can see the forum pages are loading perfectly, with no delays on my machine.

Any chance that a decision could be made about the floating red bar?

It has been absent for a week. Last night it returned and this morning gone

Or is it my system??
