I came across this and thought I would pass it on.

Teenager killed

It's made me pause for thought, and I hope it does you too. Although somewhat lacking in details, I suspect he was tinkering inside the psu itself.

Certainly I've never heard of anything like it, but no doubt someone else has.

When I was in my last year at school I was helping the Lab Technition and he sent me to get a shadow box. When I picked it up I noticed it had no plug so being helpful I put one on it and plugged it in to try it, well the bulb exploded. He explained that it was 12v and did not have a plug because it connected to the transformer that he already had in the classroom!
