Has anyone been watching Adam Hills 'The Last leg' Paralympic comedy chat on C4 after the Paralympics?
Last night someone that made a knitted Adam Hill figure and listed it for £15 with any proceeds made going to Great Ormond St Hospital. They mentioned it in passing as a humorous item and who would want to pay 15 quid for a hand knitted effigy. After the add break it had jumped up to £50, by the end of the show it had reached £9000 (yes 9 grand).
Take a look now at it's current bid value unbelievable!

A second one won't do the same. The first one captures the moment, the second and subsequent don't.
Secure delivery? I'd be surprised if the winning bidder wants it! The biggest surprize will be for GOSH.

Down to £21,500 now. Ebay are slow this time in checking the validity of these bids.

This removal of bids is getting to be an Ebay norm nowadays and not just with charity listings. About time that Ebay actually took some sort of action against the spoof bidders but it seems to be their policy that everything that goes wrong is the sellers fault. Try withdrawing your bid at a real live auction and all hell would break loose. Hope Great Ormond Street do well out of this in the end.
