Removing CD's From a Sony Car 10 CD Player

I have a Sony 10 CD player from a previous vehicle. I had it removed when the vehicle went to scrap. The CD's are still in it and I would like them out. But I have no way of opening it to remove them. (no cables or wires).

Is there any body out there with the knowledge of how to remove them please? Probably something simple but I don't want to damage them. Nor do I want to damage the actual CD player as I may be able to use it in the future.

quickbeam. I already have one of those available. It is just besides my bedroom window ready to use in case of fire. (Bungalow) It is just that the window has no openings big enough to get through. The local fire bobbies thought it was a good idea and gave me instructions as to where exactly to strike the window.

As for the CD's, well I took the gadget to my local car radio specialist shop. The woman said the technician wasn't in at that moment, but she would get him to do it when he came back. I left my phone number for them to get back in touch after explaining to her that if the proper man couldn't do it with an electric cable of some sort to give me a ring and discuss alternatives. Next day she phoned to tell me that they had got the discs out, so I went to collect and pay thinking he had done the job with a cable. The woman said "That will be £40" So I went ballistic on her, after she explained that the technician had to dismantle the gadget to get them out. I reminded her of our conversation and that they were supposed to phone me back if they couldn't do it with a cable.... I could have dismantled the thing myself etc. To cut a long story short, I ended up paying her a fiver and said I would never darken their door again and I would tell my friends likewise.

Well done for sticking to your guns and "negotiating" a more reasonable price.

Bing.alau. Please excuse this post if it leads to a hijacking of the thread but I was intrigued by Aitchbee's "it was the coin mechanism that was a bit rusty...it's like the inside of a computer". I have never seen an inside of a computer that works that is a bit rusty or looks like a coin mechanism. Perhaps Aitchbee has a coin in the slot computer!

Woolwell...the jukebox-engineer had two toothbrushes... one was pink the other one was blue [in his kit of tools], I don't know how he fixed the music-machine, but I was not overly-impressed with his troubleshooting dab-hand fault finding technique.(He really only had one toothbrush...and it was green.)After about 30 minutes he had to 'call up the cavalry' (another engineer) who produced a 'magic' yellow duster, and hey presto ...it was working again!

...the touch-screen bar 'juke-box' now works a treat...but one has to be nimbly-fingered to get one's selections played...it's a Samsung touch-screen [19 inch] inside ... BTW.
