So you are staggering back from the Pub and come face to face with a Lion

A possible scenario in Essex as police attempt to capture what they believe is a Lion roaming wild.

Sorry I am late back from the pub dear but I had to hide from a lion.

I wonder if the police will also find a Witch and a Wardrobe?

Ooh, Chelmsford, how I miss thee..... did my apprenticeship with Marconi Wireless & Telegraph Co. there back in the late '50s. Don't recall The Lion at Boreham though, but spent many wasted hours at The Cherry Tree and The Dotted Spog!

A police spokesman said: "We believe what was seen on Sunday evening was either a large domestic cat or a wildcat.

I don't think there are any true wildcats in Essex either unless you count the WAG's
