Sell off valuable council houses.

What are your thoughts on the suggestion by Grant Shapps(housing minister) That councils should sell their most valuable houses and use the money to build a much larger number of cheaper council homes.

Council housing

Makes a great deal of sense to me assuming of course the money raised would be used to build new council houses. At the very least it would stop the Daily Mail continually printing stories of immigrants living in multi million pound houses

It matters nothing how you dress this idea up no council will use the proceeds to build more houses, the money gained will be used to try to clear any debt they have and where will they build these new affordable house, definitely not green field sites as these will be reserved for the rich.

So all you will get is less council housing and longer wait to get one.

I don't know why the conservatives just don't have a list of people they would like to have living in different neighbourhoods, class 1 (rich) can live any where, class 2 (working class) can only live where class 1 don't want to and finally class 3 (non working on benefit) as far away from class 1 as possible.
