Years ago I came bumbling out of the Kings Fund College near Queensway, London and literally bumped in to him. During the usual apologies etc he asked me what the building was as he said he had lived in the area for some time and wondered what it was. I told him it was a Health Management College and that this old bit was where much of The Forsyte Saga had been written and that the little window I pointed at was part of a little alcove mentioned in the book. He seemed intrigued so I cheekily asked him if he would like to go in and have a cup of tea there as it was now a small cafe/bar for students. We had a wonderful hour together and it is a memory I will never forget. A truly wonderful Gentleman.
