I think the point being made by some is that the highest courts in this country have heard the case and have decided that deportation is appropriate under UK law.

The EU court has listened to the appeal and has decided otherwise, the UK government is abiding by that decision. However other countries faced with the their sovereign court being over ruled by Strasbourg have chosen to ignore that ruling.

My feeling is that either all signed up states abide by EU court rulings or the court is disbanded altogether.

"My feeling is that either all signed up states abide by EU court rulings or the court is disbanded altogether."

and that's really it in a nutshell.

We have decided that we will abide by the rulings of the European court, and we're doing so in this case, much as it goes against our grain to do so. The truth about life in democratic societies is that the rule of law is an absolute - you can't just decide to ignore a court ruling because you don't like it. Of course it's ludicrous that we have to tolerate the presence of this particular individual, but he has apparently (for the moment) a legal right to remain here.

A great opportunity to rid ourselves of this person has arisen if only May could show some initiative,it would also save a group of honest men from a bunch of non de-scripts with a penchant for organising mass murder.

Send him and his family,in keeping with the 'right to family life' rule.

allah be praised
