I just had to post about this Wild Rhino I know it's supposed to be serious but all I could think of while watching was that this wouldn't be out of place in a Monty Python sketch..

"but rhinos are unpredictable animals,"

No they're not, they're bad tempered and violent and will attack anything on sight!

"morddwyd"

I'm not a rhino expert; I based my remark on what I was told by a game warden in the Masai Mara. Rhinos in zoos and in game reserves become used to seeing people, and will rarely initiate aggression unless they feel stressed.

The problem is, it's apparently almost impossible to detect stress in a rhino, hence the 'unpredictable' comment.

You can say the same about lions and tigers in zoos, circuses and private homes.

They can, and do, attack after years of apparently "getting used to" humans.

Any game warden who turns his back on a wild rhino has not been in the job long!
