I have just won a iPhone 4s ?.

Over recent months there have been a number of comments about advertising on the PCA forum website.

I notice now that there is a rather 'forceful' advert appearing, that informs viewers " Congratulations! You are today's iPhone 4s winner!" " Click on the 'YES' button below, to try to win before time runs out". You have the option to click a YES or NO button!.

Note the words winner and try!.

My question.

Are these the sort of adverts PCA should support?.

Are these type of adverts, lowering the tone and purpose of this website?.

Haven't been attacked by it today, so perhaps it has been "removed". Fingers crossed. Also surprised to see no comment from FE, perhaps because thread has been "ticked", as resolved.

Hi guys. Sorry about the tardy reply. I haven't seen this ad myself, but it doesn't sound like the sort of thing we want on PC Advisor. I suspect it may be a Google ad, and we need to blacklist the advertiser. I'll get the commercial guys to look into it tomorrow, keep you posted.

Hi, everyone.

This ad has been blocked. Please let us know if you see it or its like on PCA again.

Occasionally we get a rogue advert through network partners and we try to clamp down on these as fast as we can.

Apologies that removing this ad took so much time.
