I don't notice footballers being in it with us either. Footballers entertain for 90 minutes Rich people pay taxes and invest in companies who employ people who buy products that help our economy and support the idle. At the moment there are more givers than takers, when that changes look out.

I suggest you take a look at classified at the back of Auto Express or the Sunday Times motoring section.

The new series Rolls Royce cars drop by about 40% in the first year, as an investment they're a lot worse than stocks and shares.

"The rich pay the vast majority of the tax in this country"

Well this is only one person who doesn't pay his share [http://www.google.co.uk/url?url=http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/blairs-company-paid-just-315000-tax-on-income-of-more-than-12m-6287001.html&rct=j&sa=X&ei=g0YNT7SwJdLb8gOVkLnfBQ&ved=0CDIQ-AsoATAA&q=tony+blair+and+tax&usg=AFQjCNHDIibukAly-HpDAeV9ucZjaQlPiA][1

It may be legal but still but with those running costs no wonder this country is skint if that is how he ran it.

It is inaccurate to say that RR and Ferrari appreciate in value.

Limited edition Ferrari's such as the F40, F50 and Enzo will increase but "normal" Ferrari's do not. You may pay a premium to get a F458 as they are new and desirable but that will not last more than a couple of years.

As for RR a Ghost has a list price that starts at £200,000. HR Owen have a 2010 model on sale for £175,000.

Must be nice to be able to afford to lose £50000 in one year on a car, it must be hard being that rich.

Really?

I would say from observation that those that pay the biggest portion of their earnings to the revenue chappies are employed in the 20/30k income bracket per year.

Too rich to fall into the tax credit system, and too poor to use accountants for getting out taxation.
