Extractor Fan Comes on after Twenty years....of silence.

...The GREENWOOD Airvac extractor fan suddenly broke the silence in my kitchen.
Immediately after it was installed in 1992, I pulled the fuse from the smaller Greenwood Airvac fan in the toilet and that appeared to disengage the power to the one in the kitchen.
Tonight for the first time in twenty years the kitchen fan came on.
..by switching off the light switch in the kitchen, the fan went off after a few minutes.
What would cause this to happen?

Everthing is back to normal...all quiet...it must have been The Sparky Sprites, right enough, Mr Mistoffelees.

Cold currents of air are well documented evidence of ectoplasm!

The reason I disconnected the two extractor fans, was because both kitchen and bathroom have big windows which are easily opened to let fresh air in.
The working noise of each fan was unacceptible to me.
carver - What the Dickens are you on about? :o)
wiz-king - ...well it's a start!
morddwyd - I have got a lot of ectoplasm inside my gas-oven...it needs an excorcist to make it clean again. HEE HEE
