Top band... they must be ...Michael Stipes got a mention on BBC radio4 tonight ...I hope they make a comeback...

My remembrance of the band is that they were only one, of a few rock bands fron America that stuck in the British psyche, I ain't mentioning any others, as the REM's deserve a stage of their own.'

I have a poorly titled thread about this. Sad news, but the concensus is that it was on the cards.

Apparently a new career retrospective is due in November with some unheard material on it.
