Really Old!

Now I'm feeling really old and decrepit.

A guy with a 56lb bag of potatoes on his shoulder stopped and held the door open for me!

I know exactly how you feel. A combination of frustration and embarsment, I have it every day on the rare occasions a friend takes me out.

But we have to get on with it, there is no real choice,

At least you are still here with us, unlike my friend, who died of that dreaded disease at 63.

Enjoy.

Now I'm feeling really old and decrepit.

Young bloke in in baseball cap, trainers and jog pants at half mast, gave me his seat on the bus.

From one old-timer to another, just be grateful that there are still a few people in the country with good manners!

You know your past it when:-

You've got more bottles in your medicine cabinet than you have in your wine cellar.

You run out of breath walking down a flight of stairs.

You can still fill your own car up with oil, but you can't remember how to open the bonnet.

You look both ways before crossing a room.

You stoop to tie your shoelaces and wonder what else you could do while you're down there. - George Burns

And when:-

You back goes out more than you do.

Your indoor plants stay alive.

You throw a party and the neighbour's don't even notice.

You and your teeth don't sleep together.

You're interested in going home before you get to where you're going.

Things you buy won't wear out.

Your children are now lying about their age.

You smile at everyone because you can't hear a word they're saying.

That's all forum editor...for a while...only kidding. HB

I felt really old when those two old geezers Brumas and Macscouse called me "Dad".
