I better start saving, as I can see another "Gold Crown" being installed in my 'north and south' next visit to the dentist.Last one was 150 quid.

Ouch! yep, dentists are expensive now, almost all private only, and prices are no doubt increasing too :( After getting those valuable crowns, like that woman in the tv ad-with all that gold, it'll almost be as if you're using your mouth as a long term savings account, lol. Possibly a bad choice if it could all be stolen by relations for cash your gold (as in the ad), and all the 'interest' gained will be brushed out daily anyway

some months ago I had collected quite a few broken chains going back donkey's years, and I also had a couple of bracelets I could no longer wear due to dexterity problems. So, rather than post them goodness knows where, I took them in to a jewellers. Now these really were things I thought wouldn't be worth much, and I was terrified they would just laugh me out of the shop. But no, they offered me cash there and then - enough to shock even me. Boy did I accept. I bought a new pair of shoes, much more useful to me.
