In the paper today a bloke has used an app in his Macbook to catch a burglar who stole it.
A secret tracking app was loaded onto his Macbook which took a photograph every time the machine was switched on. The snaps were then sent back to the owner of the machine who posted them on Twitter saying "this guy stole my Macbook"
The crook was identified and his details passed onto police in California where the owner lives. The police arrested a local cab driver there and returned the Macbook to the owner.
How cool is that? And how the hell do you program a computer to do such things?
