After three cups of strong coffee, LHO has sobered up enough to recognise her home town in the picture. The hotel, and the one directly across from it, are unusual in the fact that you have to climb a steep, narrow staircase to reach the bar. It is the High Street, Nairn, and the building in the centre of the picture, under the town clock, was LHO's place of employment for many years.
