Hello all
Site looking mighty fine, I've cancelled a sky+ HD contract yet I can still receive the basic free sat channels. Is this correct? I thought you had to buy a freesat card from Sky for that to happen - I ask, wondering whether my contact is still yet active.
Any thoughts please?

All depends on when you cancelled and when your contract ends, it can take up to 10 days for it to take effect but you have to keep your viewing card in the sky box to still get the free view.
You should be able to watch up to 50-60 free to view channels through your box.

Providing you still have your sky box and dish, you will be able to watch about 240 channels.

Occasionally they change their viewing card and you'll need to purchase a new one to continue watching some of the free channels.
We cancelled our subscription about 6 years ago but continued to get the free channels with the card inserted. If we remove it we can only get BBC, ITV, CH4 & 5.
A couple of years back we had to purchase a new card which cost £20.00.
