This time a major blow - no more Fray Bentos pies.

They're too big for the electric opener, and my arthritis is no longer up to a manual tin opener.

The end gets ever nigher!

Is there such a place as Mutton? If so is it in the same area as Jeff?

There's a Mutton Place in Camden borough, sounds a bit fishy to me though. Mutton Place

Exactly.

I don't think anybody reasonably expects mutton in a Scotch pie these days, but I don't think it unreasoanble to expect to see at least a trace, or even some "mutton flavouring", in a mutton pie!

If I could be bothered I would ask Consumer Direct, but I can't so I won't!

But why shouldn't we expect mutton in a mutton pie? There's plenty of older sheep around, so why should it end up in dogfood if it's perfectly edible which it is Mutton4U

I had a problem with Fray Bentos pies. My son who works for Premier Foods recently visited the factory where they are produced so he brought me ten of the Fray Bentos steak and kidney pies. Tried one, then had the problem of disposing of the remaining nine. Most of the tenth finished up in the dustbin. Yuk.

they've got those on Amazon as well, and I'm sure I've seen them in shops in town.

[They're too big for the electric opener] And no good with the manual opener either. Like you gave up trying to open them.
