People are struggling with posting links. I'm simply trying to show it is so easy to get right, too often their results are 'link text'. Not seen this on any other Forum.

The bottom line is that this is not user friendly or intuitive (also applies to resolving a thread) and is at variance with all other forums I visit. The standard ability to copy and paste a link into text works best. That said it isn't hard to manage when you get the hang of it - but it should be simple!
