Bear this in mind the next time you get an exception instead of the site:)

Thanks for your patience guys. Not everything is working perfectly yet, despite the Stakhanovite efforts of FE and the developers, but the link tool should be working, as FE has so skilfully demonstrated. Let's all try a link. Here's mine: http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/opinion/desktop-pc/3265489/the-post-pc-world-more-pcs-please/

It's working now but was down for 24hrs.Still these glitches are to be expected after a complete revamp.

I don't think so. The site was running well last night. although there were some glitches. There have been more this morning, but we'll work on it, and all will be well soon. We're into a weekend, and we're not going to see much happen until early next week now. Please bear with us until then.

Click on the green icon in the response box, and type or paste your link url in the pop-up dialogue box.

By default the http:// part of the link will already be in the box, and it would be best to delete that if you're pasting a link, otherwise it will be there twice, and the link won't work. We'll be taking a look at this function to see if we can simplify the process.

My only problem at the moment is the POST tab is Half covered by the Grey Border of he Reply to this topic box.

A silly question now. What does this mean?

'Tick here if you would like to subscribe to replies to this question.'

and what happens if I untick the box?

"what happens if I untick the box?" you will not get any emails to notify you that someone has posted a new reply to the thread. I forgot to untick it on one of my posts yesterday and this morining I got about a 100 emails...

As I've said elsewhere...

We're going to alter the 'subscribe to replies' function so that it is deselected by default. Lots of people are getting lots of emails at the moment, and we know how irritating that can be. I promise it will be sorted after the weekend.
