.. in a recent Windows Secrets which I wonder if anyone has come across.

click here and scroll down to `Sun, Apple, Microsoft install chaff with patches`.

I`ve not seen anything published on this before but have noticed the odd toolbar and other helpful(?) additions in some updates.

Anyone any comments?

ARGHHHH SPAM
johndrew didn't you know that DriverCure is from same place as RegCure and they are both useless scam programs that find all sorts wrong with your pc and then want money off you to fix the supposed problems.

Personally I wouldn't take any/much notice of any webpage/site that carries an Ad for DriverCure

It`s the publication of the article that I find interesting. It could be that a movement has started to oppose it. The fact that large suppliers (MS & Sun are quoted) are involved is also interesting but may make the practice more difficult to stop unless they reverse their actions.
