Hiding the 'buy' button when stock = zero

Hello everyone. My friend at work has a website which he uses web serif to design. Each item on the site has a 'buy' button that uses PayPal checkout. He tells me there is no function to hide the 'buy' buttons when the stock level = zero. I don't know how computer savvy he is. Can anyone assist so I can help him out? It's driving him crazy! Thanks for reading.

Having just had a quick search with Google, I am unable to find anything about 'hiding the buy button'. Because the website is based on a Serif product, as your friend considered contacting Serif product support for possible advice?.

The only thing that I found about the 'buy button' was this article click here
