Add a searchable database to WordPress Website

I have a WordPress Website that I am working on for my Quilt Guild and we want to add a searchable database of our library holdings. We would also like to add a searchable database of our membership directory.

Can I do this without the help of a Widget? If no, any suggestions on which widget to use?
