A confusing jungle of e-commerce templates - help!

I want to have my own webpages to upload my original content to.

For visitors to be able to view this content (that will be gradually added to) they will need to subscribe using a credit card or a paypal system for a monthly subscription fee.

I want them to come to the home page, and then I need a paywall that, once paid, lets people see the content that they are there to see.

I just need a very simple site like this. I am not selling a plethora of retail products, I'm just selling access to my own originally created content.

All I've seen online is a jungle of "e-commerce solutions" that seem to have no applicability to what I want and need. I cannot make heads or tails of the multitude of innappropriate choices. Jargon isn't my strong suite. What I do best is create original content that I do know people want to see.

Can any one point me to some SPECIFICALLY NAMED web commerce sites or products that will fill the simple needs I have? And that need is to sell just one thing, my content, behind a monthly debited subscription fee paywall. Thank you, your help with this will have my lasting gratitude.

In order to operate a Direct Debit collection service you need to have what is called a Service User Number (SUN), and you'll need to talk to your bank about that. The bank must sponsor you before you'll get the SUN, and it may ask you to deposit a substantial sum before it will do that.

An easier answer is to use one of the many third-party Direct Debit facilitators. They'll provide you with a code snippet that you insert into your site page. That will take your customers seamlessly through the process. You'll pay a small transaction charge, but you may find it a worthwhile solution.

Here's one company that offers the service - there are others.
