Photoshop - Linking to a web image

Hello, I am new to Photoshop but have a tv graphics background. I am trying to link to an image that exists on the web.

I have built a template in Photoshop with an empty grey background box.
I want to link to an image on the web using the URL, such as: http://images.shopnbc.com/is/image/ShopNBC/435-018?hei=1500&wid=1500&op_sharpen=1

I would place this image on top of the grey box. Then save the file. Then, using the same template, I would like to CHANGE the image URL to a different image, and save that as a different file name.

Wash, rinse, repeat.
Bottom line, I have about 3000 images, and I would like to use one template and have the ability to change the image URL, a new image would appear, and I would re-save the files.

Is this possible to do?

Thanks, JB
