Wordpress website where other people can post

Hi,

Last week I launched a website which is called www.whenileft.com. I am well aware that adjustments are required. I wonder if you could tell me how I can let other people post on my website (they will still require moderation).

Furthermore the aim of the website is to document graduate stories. So far I have 4 which are on the first page. As they are long it's not at all viewer friendly. Is there any way of changing this to a grid like pattern (similar to Pinterest I suppose). Do I perhaps need to be able to code myself?
