I am not understanding why the validator des not like this.

I have: " or "") inside an inline element (such as "", "", or "").

I don't understand what the validator is complaining of here - why ?

I have:

Result: Column 15: document type does not allow element "p" here; missing one of "object", "applet", "map", "iframe", "button", "ins", "del" start-tag

" or "") inside an inline element (such as "", "", or "").

Do you have a link to your code? Or a code snippet at least that we can look at?

Sorry have just posted a response thanks, but I seem to have hit another section of forum.

I have now understood the validator with a bit more concentration and used span class instead of p class and all is now well. Thanks for the response, sorry the code didn't show, I did it twice as the 2nd time I put it through Notepad, but it still didn;t show correctly.
