looking to improve upgrade my website, help please

ive ran my website for five or so years

the website has in th region of 1200 images of badges split into the countries they originate from

im thinking of trying to improve/upgrade
is there a better way to display images than the current way i do it?

cheers guys, yes i know about the old style gifs and they are on my list, ill get that done

ive looked at the web album idea and dont think it will work, its okay for a few images but not as many as i have

still planning...

Just a brief observation, but all the moving graphics are very very distracting, and look a bit old skool now.

Maybe putting the images in a photo album would improve it.
