I have a good knowledge of PC's but never got involved in website building, until now! My Social Club (about 150 members) is looking to start a secure website for members only that will keep them up to date with news and events. We have registered a domain name.
Can someone please advise where I go next to get this off the ground? I see PC World sell 'Mr Takeaway Website' software at about £29. Would that be a starting point? I have heard of Dreamweaver and Frontpage but it only needs to be a simple site and I don't want the learning curve that these would require.
Any advice would be greatly apreciated.

You might want to use some online website builder. There are lots of them on the Web and most of them are pretty easy to handle and quite affordable. No need to download any software, free trial periods (different length). I would recommend Site123[dot]com, I'm using it myself.

Thanks forum member & Darkie 80. For 20 quid I thought I'd try Serif XPlus X2 and it should arrive today. If I can build a site with it, how much should I reasonably expect to pay for hosting?
