domain - ID Protection...?

My web hosts want to charge me a whopping 27 quid to renew my ID protection.
This is a yearly charge from them.

Is this reasonable?

Is there a way I can do it myself?

Thanks,,

Sounds excessive. My host charges £10 per year per domain, and even that seems too much.

I'm not sure of a way to do it direct wth the registrar.

Pricey.
You'll have to transfer to another regisrar like eg: Namecheap and others that charges much less per year for the same service

I would move it over soon if you want to keep the option.
