Hi, hoping I can get some advise. Just had my small company website site map verified, but have noticed under my google account it states that as the sitemap is in HTML format not supported by google. Would it be a good idea to use this site
click here to create a site map in XML, or is there another way? Just looking to get the best exposure on google. Thanks for reading the above.

I am developing a multi-page site that is growing daily.
If I submit new xml site map to google e.g. weekly. Am I best deleting the old site maps or keeping one or two of the previous site maps.
I would appreciate any input.

xml-sitemaps is a great site, used it for a couple of years now, I put XML, HTML and TXT up, I submit the XML direct to Google via their webmaster tools area.

@Tom the Tank
You only want the most current sitemap in place. If you are submitting this via Webmaster Tools just use the resubmit option. Google will in any event collect the current sitemap from your server at fairly regular intervals.
As important as submitting sitemaps is ensuring the data is accurate. Most sitemaps submitted have wrong lastmod or priority data and quickly establish a lack of trust. Worth bearing in mind that fields can be left out if you wish.
