Hi all.

I have windows 8 and whenever i plug my xbox 360 controller in it installs but doesnt show up in joy.cpl and in device manager it has a exclamation mark. I have uninstalled and tried installing the driver from the microsoft website in compatibility mode but still doesnt work.

When it is first connected the lights around the button light up then nothing.

Check you have the correct OS version, 64-bit or 32-bit. Have a look here. Reboot after installing.
