Vista PC. When I try to download an email attachment or an .exe file, I get the above message. ONLY in IE9 - not in Chrome. Tried resetting IE, but no change. Scanned for viruses with (the installed) Sopho and MBAM - all clear.
Google not a lot of help. Any ideas?

Thanks Lotvic. I keep forgetting how good Combofix has proved to be in the past. I'll let it run now........

Excellent - looks as though Combofix has come up trumps again. Will restart in the morning to confirm.
