My Canon iP4300 printer has died.

Hello

Even as I write this I feel the problem might be hopeless, but this forum has done the trick before, so here goes.

I have a Canon iP4300 inkjet printer.

The paper output tray folds down from the front and remains about an inch of the desk surface. One of my cats walked across the output tray and it got pressed down.

Now when I try to print I am told the paper output tray is closed, when in fact it is open.

I was wondering if I could take it to pieces and try to fix it, I guess some sort of switch is involved?

Any thoughts welcome.

Richard

What have you to lose. Google the model and see if you can find a workshop manual or a strip down drawing which might help.
